CITY GOLF NATIONAL CHAMPIONSHIP - POLICIES & PROCEDURES


The City Golf Championship Tour was established by DCI Golf, a division of DeSilva Communications,Inc., to provide municipalities across the United States with a signature sporting event, that enables each City to promote their committment to sports and recreation, while raising funds for key City Services that enrich the lives of its citizens and local communities. The Format and Tournament Rules for each individual City Championship may vary.

Gross Winners of each event qualify to enter the City Golf National Championship and must conform to the Format, Policies, Rules & Regulations of the National City Golf Championship. Each designated City on the Championship Tour will conduct a single or multiple day golf tournament to determine winners in the following categories:

The Championship consist of Two Separate Divisions:
•  An Indexed Division for male Amateur Golfers 18+
•  An Open Division for male Professional Golfers 18+

AMATEUR GOLFERS:
All qualified Amateur golfers wishing to participate in this stroke play City Championship event, are required to have an active, verifiable USGA approved handicap index. A current handicap index from your local golf club or golf association will be accepted for entry into the tournament (GHIN handicap preferred). All golfers will be flighted based on their handicap index and play with other golfers at their skill level. Flight Winners in each division will be determined by Low Gross and, if applicable, Low Net Scores. However, ONLY Low Gross Winners in each Division will be eligible to participate in the City Golf National Championship, to be held in Orlando, Florida.

FLIGHTS & YARDAGES:
• Male Professional Division: 6,500 - 7,000 yards or comparable
• Amateur Champion - Ages 18+, 0 - 2.9 handicap Index, 6,400 to 6,800 yards
• A Flight - Ages 18+, 3 - 5.9 handicap Index, 6,000 to 6,400 yards
• B Flight - Ages 18+, 6 - 8.9 handicap Index, 6,000 to 6,400 yards
• C Flight - Ages 18+, 9 - 11.9 handicap Index, 6,000 to 6,200 yards
• Senior Champion - Ages 55+, 0 - 3.9 handicap Index, 6,000 to 6,200 yards
• Senior A Flight - Ages 55+, 4 - 7.9 handicap Index, 6,000 to 6,200 yards
• Senior B Flight - Ages 55+, 8 - 11.9 handicap Index, 6,000 to 6,200 yards
