CITY GOLF NATIONAL - FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS


WHAT IS THE CITY GOLF NATIONAL CHAMPIONSHIP?

The City Golf National Championship is owned and operated by DCI Golf, a division of DeSilva Communications, Inc. The Championship was established to provide quality stroke play golf events for Male Golfers, who are 18 years of age and over on or before December 31st. Golfers wishing to particiapte in the Annual National Championship must win a qualifying City Golf Championship Tour event in a designated City. Professionally organzed tournaments are scheduled throughout the year to provide players with a fun but competitive tour like golf experience.

WHO CAN PLAY INTHE CITY GOLF CHAMPIONSHIP TOUR?

All male golfers 18 years of age and over can play in a City Golf Championship Tour event. Tournament Format for each City Golf Championship may vary. All amateur golfers must have a verifiable USGA approved Handicap Index of 0 - 11.9. The Tour has two separate Divisions:
1. An Indexed Division for Amateurs, 18+ years of age.
2. An Open Division for Professionals, 18+years of age.

Professionals are paired with other pros and Amateurs compete with other amateur golfers at their skill in one of Eight (8) designated Flights:

Professional Division: 6,500 - 7.000 yards
Championship Flight: 0 - 2.9, 6,400 - 6,800 yards
A Flight: 3 - 5.9, 6,000 - 6,400 yards
B Flight: 6 - 8.9, 6,000 - 6,400 yards
C Flight: 9 - 11.9, 6,000 - 6,200 yards
Seniors 55+ Champ: 0 - 3.9, 6,000 to 6,200 yards
Seniors 55+ A Flight: 4 - 7.9, 6,000 to 6,200 yards
Seniors 55+ B Flight: 8 - 11.9, 6,000 to 6,200 yards

HOW CAN I QUALIFY TO ENTER THE CITY GOLF NATIONAL CHAMPIONSHIP?

You must enter and win your Flight Division (0 - 11.9) in any designated City Golf Championship Tour Event in the United States. Low Gross Scores Only. City Golf Championship Tour winners can only represent a single city in their respective flights. All winners are eligible to register for the City Golf National and pay the National Entry Fee.

WHAT IF I DON'T HAVE A CURRENT HANDICAP INDEX?

Golfers wishing participate in the City Golf Championship Tour that do not have a handicap index, must submit atleast (5) recent scores with courses and tee markers played. If accepted and flighted for play, these golfers will be provided with a Tournament Index. Amateur golfers in Florida who wish to obtain a USGA GHIN handicap Index can do so through the FLGPA - Florida Golf Players Association. Please visit www.FLGPA.com. for more information. All amateur golfers wishing to participate in the City Golf National Championship, must have participated and won a City Golf Championship event within the calendar year.

HOW DO I REGISTER FOR A TOURNAMENT?

Visit: http://www.CityGolfNational.com/citygolftourevents.html, select the tournament you wish to participate in and Click to download the Player Entry Form. Entry Forms for each event are posted approximately four weeks in advance.

WHAT DO I WIN?

Amateurs in the Indexed Division receive their winnings in the form of non-cash prize vouchers - MasterCard Gift Cards, in compliance with the USGA guidelines and the City Golf National Tour policy. The value of each MasterCard Gift Card is established prior to the event with the amount dependent on the size of the field.

Prize Money for Professionals is established prior to each event with the amount dependent on the size of the field. Prize Money is paid out to members of the Professionals who have a Form W-9 on file with the Tour.
